For Sale: Three Ipods - Real Cheap

Click picture to read the drivel

I just logged on to to apple.com to do some shopping. This is what I found, displayed prominently at the top of the site.

Apparently Steve Jobs is a big fan of Algore...but knows nothing of science or truth.

How cheap? How big are they?

Sorry. I've decided to smash them in disgust instead.

Post a picture?

If you want to take it out on Jobs, you'd be better off selling them to me. Otherwise I'll just buy new ones. He'll send the proceeds to Gore.

...thanks to Apple's AAC protected format, regrettably, I can't take my 2500 songs anywhere else.

Sorry, you're out of luck this time!

You mean you can't simply clear the memory? Is Apple that backwards?

Give 'em to jKruse, bro, and make sure that there's plenty of Toby Keith or something like that on it. :^)

(he may just figure out the deletion for you....ha ha)

Yeah - when bubba and I are on the same side of an issue, you just know we must be right.

Otherwise, it's, "Pants on Fire!"

They are geniuses...except for the Al Gore thing. You load up a couple thousand songs and you can't play them on anyone else's player unless you download a (presumably) illegal cheat or burn all your songs to audio cd's and then reload them into the new player.

It pisses me off to have to do business with someone who thinks Al Gore is a hero.

ummm...Al Gore is on the board of Apple. Has been for 4 years.

Ironically, Apple made the news today when Greenpeace released a statement that iPhone is made with hazardous environmental materials.

Will be interesting to see what 'ol Al does about this. My guess is nothing...

oh, and I'm already anti-iPod for other reasons before your Gore post. (STILL no FM tuner?!?!?! most likely since they can't control your content that's used on the device.) check my blog for my thoughts. Also check out a great website: www.anythingbutipod.com for detailed info and suggestions.

iriver, Creative, and Cowon all get great marks

Yep, the fact that Gore is involved with Apple is reason enough to dismiss them completely. It just proves that Apple is more about culture than technology... Unless of course you buy into the "Al Gore invented the internet" thing... But that aside, Apple wants to appeal to a certain crowd, and it is that same crowd that tags along with Gore and buys into his pop culture environmentalism.

Ironically, the CEO of J Crew is also on the board which makes perfect sense because what goes better with global warming and IPhones than J Crew's casual apparel? Who's next? They need a representative of Volvo or Lexus...
