Global Warming Takes Pause

April 30 (Bloomberg) -- Parts of North America and Europe may cool naturally over the next decade, as shifting ocean currents temporarily blunt the global-warming effect caused by mankind

(not to mention cows, volcanoes, and solar cycles)

"Those natural climate variations could be stronger than the global-warming trend over the next 10-year period,'' Wood said in an interview. "Without knowing that, you might erroneously think there's no global warming going on.''

You might also erroneously think that man has ever been able to accurately measure the earth's temperature over any length of time.

So this cooling is "natural". But all the other times it's Man Made Global Change, the crisis formerly known as Man Made Global Warming?

By the way, curious; how did man make the glaciers that used to cover Minnesota go away? The industrial age was a few hundred thousand years after that I think.

Does this mean that Al Gore's going to find other pursuits? Or maybe he'll invent a Man Made Ocean Cooling Crisis?
